Thursday September 2nd, we would like to invite you to a casual end-of-summer evening. We're going to partner with Maker's Mark Bourbon for a fun and casual cocktail party to benefit Elijah's Promise.
Elijah's Promise has been feeding the needy in New Brunswick for better than two decades. The recent economic downturn has put a strain on their resources, while making their services more important than ever.
Thursday evening, Maker's Mark will introduce their new bourbon: Maker's 46. It's great. We will feature Maker's cocktails by Yours Truly and our crack bar-staff. There will also be non-Bourbon cocktails, passed hors-d'oeuvres and great wine and beer. Maker's will also be giving away a lot of cool swag. We're asking a $5 donation per person (which Maker's Mark has agreed to match) and we will donate a portion of the proceeds from each Maker's Mark or Maker's cocktail (which Maker's Mark will also match). It's a cocktail party with a purpose. It will also be a bunch of fun: 4 PM - 7 PM.
FOLLOWING the Maker's Cocktail Party, we'll have live jazz, courtesy of The New Brunswick Jazz Project. The NBJP is doing amazing work bringing the live jazz scene to life again downtown. Thursday at 8:00 The Ronald Olender Quartet will perform. There is no cover. Just come down for drinks and Cool Jazz on a late summer evening. Weather permitting, we'll convene in the sidewalk cafe. If there's a chill in the air, we'll move it inside.
There is no Burgerpalooza on September 2nd.
