State Theatre holds a Coat Drive

Donate a Coat and Receive Discounted Tickets to Curious George Live!

New Brunswick, NJ (October 5, 2010)—The State Theatre is collecting “gently used” winter coats to help benefit New Jersey residents in need. The coats are being collected for the annual coat drive hosted by the nonprofit organization, Jersey Cares. Over the past 14 years, Jersey Cares has collected, sorted and distributed thousands of winter coats to at-risk men, women, children, and infants in need through this program. 

Additionally, those who bring in a coat to donate, receive a $5 off per ticket discount for tickets to the family show CURIOUS GEORGE LIVE! on October 23-25 (discount does not apply to Gold Circle, Monkey seats, or VIP seating).

Coats may be dropped off at the State Theatre Ticket Office during office hours from Tuesday, October 12 to Saturday, October 16. Ticket Office hours for this week will be Tuesday, Friday, 10am to 6pm; Wednesday 11am to 7pm; Thursday 10am to 8:30pm; and Saturday 1pm to 8:30pm.
