This week's featured cocktail for our Friday Night Cocktail Party is The Sugarplum Sling
Why should Singapore get all the attention? The “sling” is a category of libation that pre-dates the cocktail. It consists of a spirit, sweetened, possibly spiced and served hot or cold. As the 19th century progressed, fruit-based liqueurs replaced the fruit and bitters came into play. The most famous of the category is The Singapore Sling, invented at The Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Our Sugarplum Sling uses our own local plums put up in great rum, along with, Bas Armagnac, Canella Cinnamon Syrup, Verjus and Ginger beer.

Friday, the Sugarplum Sling will be offered at a 33% discount. Hors d'oeuvres will be served at the bar until 9, and the most tasteful cocktail enthusiasts in NJ will be in attendance, as is their custom. Feel free to stay for dinner. Live jazz will commence at 10 PM.
